The Five of Cups pours into today to ask you to stop holding on so tight, to look to see where you can release struggle and step into flow, to give up the fight and trust that everything is working out for your ultimate good.
The lesson here is about detachment, of letting go of an idea of what you think something should be, of standing in the middle of it all and accepting what is true for you and everything around you.
The Five of Cups shows up when you are clinging to something or someone. It represents closure and the end of a cycle. This card reminds you that when you give up the idea of what things should be or look like, when you surrender the details to the universe, miracles begin to unfold.
Open yourself up to new possibilities, possibilities of love and abundance. There is no need to struggle anymore. You have been given this opportunity to expand and be free from the past, from the pain. What will you choose?
The Five of Cups requires you to let go. Look into your heart and ask, "What can I let go of to create space for more love?" Then do it. Let go of the fear and the doubt. Let go of expectations and judgments. Let go of holding on to the past and the future. Be here, now. You are enough, you have enough, and it is all working for you. Can you let it go? Are you willing and ready for the next chapter?
Step inside yourself and find the peace within the chaos. Remember that it is all up to you. Have you given your power to someone else? Have you allowed others' behavior and choices to impact your serenity? This is your chance to take back your peace and remember that there is a flow inside of you. This flow is connected to your breath. Become aware of your breathing, slow it down, deepen it, be mindful and allow your breath to lead you to your heart.
In your heart you will find all the answers you seek. Look deep inside of you; let go of the idea that the love you seek is outside of yourself. Put the oxygen mask on yourself, do the things you know you are supposed to do to take care of you. Release the ideas and expectations; choose love.
Today's Meditation:
Go to your sweet sacred space and set a timer for 20 minutes. Relax into the moment and soften everywhere. Bring all your attention into your breath, slow down, just be. Listen to the rhythmic flow of your inhales and exhales.
Silently to yourself, or out loud, repeat the mantra: "I let go of it all."
Repeat these words over and over until your timer goes off. When it does, sweetly release the mantra and just be; be aware of what is left. When we let go of it all, we find that what remains is the love - the love we are made of. Choose love, be love, and enjoy where it takes you.
