What are you thinking about that is taking up more of your energy than it really necessary?
The Four of Swords refers to a time in your life when you are perhaps worrying about or doubting something, and giving it more time and credence than it perhaps warrants.
This has the knock-on effect of making the thoughts perhaps bigger and worse than the situation actually calls for.
In stepping back from a problem you're able to gain different perspectives, and allow for new solutions to spring forth from a fresh way of looking at it. I know you are thinking this is sometimes easier said than done, yet the Four of Swords can also refer to a time of quiet, meditative practice. If this is put into practice it can lead to a better outcome, as it does not allow doubts and worries to overload your mind to the point that you are losing sleep.
The more you think of things the worst they can appear. The more energy you give to them the more control they have over you. And the less sleep you get the grumpier you become which helps no one… especially you. If you send the Universe negatives it will reply to you with negatives. Send it positives and you give yourself the best chance of obtaining a positive outcome. Send it doubts and worries and you will receive more doubts and worries in return.
So perhaps the best thing you can do for yourself is run a soothing hot bath, light a few candles, relax in the warm water and let all your worries and doubts float away. A few long deep breaths in…. and out…. whilst visualising the positive outcome you are looking for would also help immensely.
