The Page of Swords has a deep spiritual affinity with nature. He is most happy when enjoying the carefree breeze and beautiful sky, letting his heart and mind roam free in imagination. He is also prepared to stand for justice or respond to any ill will without a second's notice.
While he is apt to be misperceived as nonchalant and lost in the clouds, he is quick to change that perception. More interested in nature's bounty of peace, but keenly observant, he won't let poor behavior be tolerated.
He will clearly articulate what he sees when someone is making excuses for themselves. This can be confusing for others who are drawn to him, thinking how easy it will be to befriend him. The laser clarity is not evident when he is sniffing in the summer air.
The Page is more of a loner than a group type. If he meets an individual who can intelligently connect with him on life's mysteries in conversation, he will likely be in love. He's wired up for a deep and passionate marriage. He's not great at maintaining many other friendships. He may not have the emotional stamina to be a good dad.
The Page of Swords consciousness is rare because it envelops polarities: unencumbered ease with nature, and the ability to swiftly present a verbal challenge to others who are lacking integrity.
The Page holds himself to scrupulous ideals when he does commit to caring for a garden, a job, or significant other. This is why he has no tolerance for others who are slacking off or being defensive.
This card may indicate that someone who appears one way is about to shock you by revealing himself to be another. Or, a situation is about to reveal some aspect of you that others rarely see. In either case, all new aspects shown are of high integrity and ethics, just a bit shocking for those not expecting these traits.
It can also appear when you are forced into more work than the free-spirit aspect of you prefers. Perhaps you need to take five minutes out of every hour to go outside, shake, dance, or run.
When either aspect of this card is ignored in self, a person becomes deeply uncomfortable and prone toward anxiety. If this is the case, set life up in a way that allows you to utilize the nature-loving self as well as be the sharp articulator.
Look for a way to do this that is void of condescending statements. The way in which you deliver your understanding can uplift or tear others apart. When the wisdom of this card is overlooked, grueling emotional battles can occur between you and loved ones.
The Page of Swords is a card of polar opposite qualities: carefree nature love and sharp intellectual standards.
Contemplation
Can I bring some of my love for nature into the way I speak to humans?
Meditation
Before speaking to anyone, imagine that person is a tree.
