Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands is a card that talks of attraction, of new energy, of inspiration, and of being bold. It also is a card that indicates “Yes" in a yes/no question.

Being able to be bold comes with a certain amount of trust in one's self, vulnerability, and faith. If there is something that has come into your life, whether it be a new idea, or a new job that excites you, go for it.

A lot of the time our souls speak to us about what we're drawn toward, but we often try to find excuses for why we shouldn't follow whatever calls to us.

Insecurity, or thinking it's not practical, or not knowing what's on the other side often holds us back, when instead we should get excited about the possibilities, and know that we are strong enough to deal with whatever the results are of going after what we want.

There is this great essay by self-help blogger Mark Manson. The title of one of his greatest posts contains some crass profanity, so I'll just call it "Absolute Yes or No." In it, he discusses mainly relationships, and how you should go after only someone you feel an Absolute Yes! about wanting to see, and who also feels an Absolute Yes! about wanting to see you.

He feels that making such a decision keeps you out of the grey area of situations where things aren't clear off the bat and where game playing is introduced in the confusion (i.e. "Should I wait to text them this? What should I say now to them?").

So only go towards people who are an Absolute Yes! for you and are also people that you feel are thinking an Absolute Yes! about you (which takes self-respect) and you will be on the path to fulfillment. He also talks about using this method for sexual relationships as well; if you are both on the same page, go for it.

Also branch out into other areas of your life with this "Absolute Yes" rule - jobs, ideas, friendships, social activities. Follow your Absolute Yeses everywhere!

Followed an Absolute Yes, and feel like it didn't work out? Look for the life lessons in it that are helping you grow and evolve towards what's next. Whether it's to learn patience, or self-worth, or learning about what you DON'T like, so you can still continue to try things until you find what you do like, there is usually a lesson.

Don't let past experiences stop you from leaping at what's next, because at some point something is going to work out in all it's beautiful glory. From all of the experiences that didn't work out before, you have become a more beautiful, deepened person going towards your next Absolute Yes.
